Engineering Culture

Talented Engineering Team

Our Engineering team is a cross-functional, agile team (Scrum). Tasks are driven by clearly defined goals and their business value. Our team includes Technical Product Managers, and Software and QA Engineers. Our mode of operation allows us to smoothly integrate internal and remote engineering teams.
 
Our engineering team is fun (true story!), talented, international (we speak English) and an experienced mix of engineers and entrepreneurs.

API Platform building

We serve both internal and external customers. Our technology is based primarily on Java stack: Java 8, Spring 4 (Boot, MVC, Data, Maven, JUnit). Our databases are powered by MongoDB, MySQL, Elasticsearch and Redis. Furthermore we have a Ruby stack (Ruby on Rails, RSpec) and many of our interfaces use ReactJS or AngularJS.

We have a microservices oriented architecture, use Git as source control, have a continuous integration pipeline with Travis CI. Our software runs in docker containers and is deployed with Ansible.

Our Hiring Process


Our hiring process allows us to find out values fit and whether your personality, experience, skills and competences are a great match.

Step One

Step Two

Send your application using our online application form. Answering few questions and attaching your LinkedIn profile is enough to get started!
We do not require a cover letter or a CV's, but we do expect you have completed step one :-)

Step Three

Wait for our people team to review your application. We will notify you within one week maximum. Every candidate will be notified.

Step Four

Once selected, you will be invited to a first phone conversation with someone from our People & Organization team. You will be given more information about us prior to this call, prepare yourself properly.

Step Five

Once successful, depending on the role, you will either be invited to work on a functional assignment or to have a phone interview with your hiring manager. Your hiring manager will also be able to answer any further questions you have about specific job details as well as us overall as a company.

Step Six

Finally, you will be invited to meet more members of our team onsite in Berlin. You can expect to be asked a mix of functional and situational questions. Arrive prepared, ask many questions, we love to answer tough questions.
